Republicans.  Nothing to sell.

Tuesday, September 8, 2026

As Republicans are in the process of learning, the hard way, elections, without having any programs to improve the quality of their constituents’ lives, are all about character.  The result is, without substantive government they can brag about, they have nothing to sell.  Nothing except who they are.

Criminal Conspiracy

LinkedIn on Friday, September 4, 2026

If you watch too much news – and find your head spinning between stories of authoritarian disregard for the Constitution and rule of law, expensive Presidential vanity projects, “grand theft government” as I like to call the grift Trump is running, awful economic and foreign policy, etc. – you may be asking yourself, “What the hell is going on?!”  Yeah.  Me too.

So, you think America is in a world of trouble?  We’re not even talking, let alone thinking about the greatest threat to our way of life.

LinkedIn on Thursday, August 27, 2026

$40 trillion and counting?!  Costing us $1 trillion per year, approximately $3000 per person, $12,000 per family of four – just to pay the interest on our national debt.

Forget about Donald Trump and the likes of Stephen Miller.  These people are fast on their way to being barely memorable footnotes in the history of our country.  If anything ever takes America down, it will the gross financial irresponsibility with which we’ve managed our national debt.

Zero integrity.  Stupid economic policy.

Zero integrity.  Stupid economic policy.  No understanding of the advantages of competitive markets.  He couldn’t care less.

On July 29 of this year, the Trump Administration announced a ban on the importing of humanoid robots.

“Why?” you ask.

Well, do you know what U.S. company is the current leader in the development and manufacture of humanoid robots?  With plans to ramp up production and sale of its Optimus robots to one million units per year at $20,000 per unit?

Well, Tesla of course, a/k/a Elon Musk whose money helped re-elect Trump President.

Don’t buy anything Musk makes.  Remind them both that the people are still in charge.

The Boss Wants This Money.”  …How should we react to companies paying Trump for favorable treatment?

LinkedIn on Sunday, August 2, 2026

The quote in the header is from the Wall Street Journal article by Josh Dawsey, et al, July 30, 2026.

Donald Trump is in a world of trouble.  If the Democrats takeover the House and the Senate, he’s going to be impeached in the House, for the third time, but this time he’s going to be convicted in the Senate and thrown out of office. …As my granddaughter would say, “Uh oh, Spaghetti-ohs!”

Trump wouldn’t know a communist if he tripped over one of them.

LinkedIn on Wednesday, July 8, 2026

Our President, no doubt with the assistance of White House resident white nationalist Stephen Miller, has started telling people that Democrats, particularly those who describe themselves as democratic socialists, are communists.  According to Trump, if these communists take charge of our government, it will be the end of the world as we know it.

Let’s help President Trump out.

LinkedIn on Wednesday, June 24, 2026

I’m worried.  The lower the President’s standing in the polls, the more hardcore his initiatives.  Donald Trump is becoming increasingly desperate and reckless as his polling collapses and a potential Democratic takeover of the House and maybe the Senate too approaches.  Increasingly desperate and reckless, but to do what exactly?  Given the authority his position commands and radical loyalty of his dwindling base, maybe we should be thinking in terms of letting him down easily lest he do something unimaginably stupid.

Gold Leaf or Tar and Feathers?

LinkedIn on May 30, 2026

According to various sources, President Trump has taken $5 million from funds allocated by Congress for our national parks to gild selected bronze statues of horses in the District with real gold leaf.  He’s not just painting them gold color, you know, with exterior grade Behr paint from Home Depot which sells, top of the line, for a breathtaking $70 a gallon.  No.  He’s covering them with real 24 carat gold.

National Insecurity, the Financial Kind

LinkedIn on Wednesday, May 27, 2026

Those of us who follow the news are well aware that President Trump has made us less safe. He’s done so primarily by gross mis-deployment of our military assets, unnecessary depletion of ordinance and by trashing relationships with our allies, by virtue of his generally incompetent leadership and by lying so frequently that, for all practical purposes, you can’t believe anything he says. To our friends and enemies alike around the world, the United States is no longer invincible.

He’s committing treason, at our expense.

LinkedIn on May 21, 2026

His “1776” ($1.776 billion) revolutionary slush fund isn’t for compensating those militant followers who stormed the Capitol to overturn the results of a legitimate election – and were, so he aserts, subsequently mistreated by the Biden Department of Justice.  No.

What he’s doing is funding their movement, the sloppy militia which will, he hopes, attack again at his pleasure, to do his bidding – only to be better at it this time by virtue of the payouts he, his lacky, Acting Attorney General Blanche and his panel will approve.

He is aiding and abetting the enemies of our democracy, in plain view and using our money to pay for it. Heaven forbid he should use his own money and get caught doing it without the cover of Presidential immunity.

Grand Theft Government.  When and how does it end?

LinkedIn on Tuesday, May 19, 2026

I’m sure you’ve noticed.  We have a President of the United States who is desperately trying to sustain his delusion of invincibility.  He is dangerous and recklessly hurtful.  Clinically, he’s a sociopath suffering from malignant narcissism.  In simple, layman’s terms, he is as dumb as he is nuts.  Complicating matters, he is a person in the process of being overwhelmed by the inevitability of aging and by adverse, anxiety-ridden situations he has caused, but cannot control.  He needs help, professional help, but is instead surrounded by enablers fearful of his rath and/or who are taking advantage of him and his authority.  For now, he’s stealing and leaving his mark as much and as often as possible while he can.
